The Bridge Marketing celebrates 10 years in business by sponsoring local Covid volunteer recognition event

Local marketing agency, The Bridge Marketing, has shunned traditional celebrations to mark its tenth anniversary, instead opting to put the budget back into the community by sponsoring an event to celebrate and thank the volunteers who have manned the vaccination centres in Woodbridge and beyond during the COVID 19 pandemic.

The event, taking place at Woodbridge Rugby Club this weekend, will see 90 volunteers ranging from car park marshals to doctors, nurses and healthcare staff from local practices, enjoy an evening of good food and drink.

Vaccinations have been administered over five sites (Woodbridge Community Hall, Trinity Park, The Mix Stowmarket, The EpiCentre Haverhill and Debenham Leisure Centre).  This was all coordinated and managed by the Suffolk GP Federation, who collectively administered over 200,000 vaccines.

Lacons Brewery will supply a couple of kegs of beer free of charge and there will be plenty more behind the bar. Pulled Pork will be on the menu, with a veggie alternative, salads and puddings to choose from.

Local musician Ben Goble has cleared his diary to entertain the guests for the evening.

Hana Dickinson, Managing Director of The Bridge Marketing said: “These volunteers have made a critical contribution to the health of our communities by assisting in the Covid-19 Vaccine rollout.  And with so many vaccines administered at Woodbridge Community Hall, the volunteers went above and beyond to ensure the safety of their community. This commitment is well worth celebrating and we’re proud to put our birthday budget behind something so worthwhile.

“The last year or so has tested us to our limits. We shouldn’t forget the people who put themselves on the line to keep us safe and enable us to get back to business. We thank each and every person who had done their bit to control the virus and keep our community safe and sane through this difficult time.”

Sally Ward, Club Operations Manager at Woodbridge Rugby Club said “We are so pleased to be able to host the Suffolk GP Federation and help them celebrate the end of the vaccination programme at the Woodbridge Rugby club
