Francesca Easter as a Senior Associate in the Family Law Team

Ellisons Solicitors has expanded its Family Law offering by appointing Francesca Easter as a Senior Associate Solicitor in the department.

Based in the Ipswich Arcade Street office, Francesca joins from another regional firm where she spent six years in the Family Law team. Francesca began working in law in 2003, running caseloads whilst studying to complete her Ilex (now Cilex) exams and then the LPC. Having qualified into family law as a solicitor in 2009 with an LPC from Anglia Ruskin University, Francesca has spent 12 years of her legal career dedicated to helping clients navigate through issues including divorce and financial matters, children matters, pre and post nuptial agreements, cohabitation agreements and separation agreements.

As well as being hands on with client management, Francesca also handles applications to the court and represents her clients in court with all children matters, step-parental and grandparent proceedings. She is also extremely experienced in matrimonial and cohabitation financial issues.

Speaking of her new role, Francesca Easter said: “I am passionate about helping people through difficult times which is why I choose to specialise in family law. I enjoy working through issues with clients to help them fully understand their situation and what options are available to them when they are faced with tricky situations to ensure the most amicable and cost-effective outcome as possible. Ellisons’ Family Law team has such a great reputation of putting clients first and really treating every client as an individual, rather than another case, to ensure the best outcome, and I am delighted to be joining the team.”

As well as her full-time role at Ellisons, Francesca is also a volunteer for Norfolk Community Law Service, providing legal advice on family matters, and also for victims of domestic abuse.

The Family Law team at Ellisons is headed by Lisa Dawson who took over the role last year.

Commenting on Francesca’s appointment, Lisa Dawson, said: “I am delighted to welcome Francesca to the team. Not only does she bring with her an incredible career history and wealth of experience, but also a natural ability to make her clients feel at ease and informed in often difficult situations. It has been a very busy period for the family law team, and I’m pleased to have such an experienced pair of hands as part of the department.”

Francesca is a member of Resolution, an organisation committed to the constructive resolution of family disputes and considering the needs of the whole family, with particular consideration of the best interests of the children.
