Weetabix annually bestow their ‘Responsible Business Award’ to one of their numerous suppliers who, have proved to be outstanding during the year.  This year Muntons won this prestigious award.

This is the second year in a row that Muntons have won the Weetabix responsible business award, an achievement in itself and something which only happens on very rare occasions.

The award recognises suppliers, who have a proactive approach with their Corporate Social Responsibility activities and have a strong sustainability agenda within their business.  They must demonstrate business excellence, with a strong focus on people, the environment and the community.

Gary Lancaster, Muntons Ingredients UK Sales Manager, commented: “We value Weetabix highly, both as an important customer and as a company who we recognise have high standards and accordingly high expectations. We were delighted to have won their responsible business award and particularly to have won this for the second time.”

Muntons malted ingredients are used widely throughout the food industry, and in particularly within a broad range of breakfast cereals.  Malt compliments milk, and cereals bringing a natural sweetness and helping to bind the flavours together.
