Bruisyard Hall announces exciting new Vegan and Vegetarian menu

Fancy a sneak peek at Bruisyard Hall’s exciting new menus? Well, these are a bit different… because the head chef has been hard at work behind the scenes rustling up something extra special for their vegan and vegetarian guests to get their teeth into. And as the events team explains, both options are going to be showstoppers in 2020.

If you’re a practicing vegetarian or vegan, how many times have you searched down a menu until you finally find your default option right near the bottom of the page… yes, you guessed it, another mushroom risotto. Not at Bruisyard Hall!

Whether some of your guests are vegan or vegetarian, or you wish the menu to be fully vegan as part of your beliefs, our brilliant head chef Richard Grinyer-Power and his team has created something that will please everyone. And thanks to Richard’s creative skills, your guests won’t even notice, or care, that there’s no meat on their plates.

Much more than a token meat-free option

“It’s still very much the field to fork ethos we’re renowned for in our traditional menu choices,” says Richard. “But this time the focus is on the seasonal veg, and the livestock frolics another day. And let’s face it, nothing tastes better than seasonal Suffolk vegetables.”

Preliminary tastings have proved very positive. How about a herbed roasted celeriac, caramelised apple puree, leek ash, dill oil, frisee starter? Or Curried cauliflower, yellow lentil dahl, spiced potatoes, wilted spinach, burnt coconut for your main? With options like these on the table, most people would happily declare themselves vegan for the day.

Meanwhile, puddings options come in the form of Pineapple, carpaccio, spiced rum syrup, blueberries and lime yoghurt and Coconut panna cotta, Lemongrass and mint marinated strawberries.

We haven’t even covered the likes of the Pan-fried herb polenta cake, grilled courgette and aubergine, sunblush tomatoes, salsa verde, or the Moroccan spiced root vegetables, apricot and almond couscous, preserved lemon, coriander oil you’ll find on the vegetarian menu.

And that’s just the tip of the iceberg lettuce, but you’ll have to wait until next year to see the rest… unless you book a wedding (or celebration!) with us, of course.

A vegetarian or vegan celebration at Bruisyard Hall

As more and more people continue to move towards a meat free diet, we think it’s important they can get choice, a level of sophistication, and most importantly, great taste, from their vegan or vegetarian menu. After all, a Bruisyard Hall wedding or celebration is always about what you want from us. Now, time to try some of that Sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream before next year’s crop of wedding parties catch onto it…
