Did you know about the NatWest Skills & Opportunities Fund?

NatWest’s Skills & Opportunities Fund aims to help people in some of our most deprived communities help themselves to move towards a better future, with improved financial skills and/or self-employment prospects.

For example, The Eastern Enterprise Hub was awarded £22,435 of funding from NatWest as part of its Skills and Opportunities Fund. Located in Ipswich, Eastern Enterprise Hub is one of 12 organisations to be awarded a share of the £200,000 funding pot following a public vote. The grant will be used by Eastern Enterprise Hub to support its social enterprise programme which aims to give ex-service personnel the confidence, knowledge and connections to develop their own successful and sustainable enterprises.

Gavin Brooks, Director of Business Banking at NatWest said: “Through the Skills and Opportunities Fund, we have been able to support a range of programmes across the East of England in their development and delivery. The impact of these projects, which are helping people to build new skills, get into work or start their own business is fantastic. Applications open early this year.”
