October half-term activities in Ipswich

This October half term (23 to 27 October) families can enjoy some fantastic activities at Christchurch Mansion, Ipswich Fit sports centres and Crown Pools.

An exciting sports centres programme includes Bouncy play with Halloween themed arts and crafts, Junior Jumpers, Family roller skating, racket sports, basketball, indoor kickabout and athletics.

Dance Camps in partnership with Ipswich School of Dance return. These camps are fun and provide a safe place for children to be during the school holidays with lunch included.

Crown Pools will host fun sessions plus diving lessons, and, at Christchurch Mansion families can enjoy a bit of history with Terrific Tudors events, Where’s Wolsey’s Cat trail, Mini Mansion sessions and of course the Animals in the Art Gallery exhibition, open until April 2024.

Councillor John Cook, Ipswich Borough Council Portfolio Holder for Communities and Sport, says:

“Gainsborough and Whitton Sports Centre, Crown Pools and Christchurch Mansion each host a programme of activities during half-term week to be enjoyed by young people of all ages.

With sports and fitness, craft sessions, art and history on offer there are many opportunities to enjoy time together learning whilst having fun.”
