Now is the time to sign-up for Summer holiday iCards
21/06/2023 - Ipswich Borough Council
This year parents are being encouraged to sign up early for summer iCards for young people to access over 350 activities taking place across Ipswich Fit facilities, parks and open spaces.
Hundreds of activities are available to book at Ipswich Fit facilities, local parks and open spaces during the six-week summer holiday period, including swimming sessions at Crown Pools, thanks to summer iCards.
A programme of various sports and fun swim sessions can be enjoyed all summer long at a cost of £6 for 6 weeks! Early sign-up is being encouraged, as more events could be added to the programme where there is high demand.
The Council remains committed to supporting families most affected by the current Cost of Living Crisis, with eligible children able to continue to receive the Summer Holiday iCard for free. Youngsters in receipt of Free School Meals may be eligible for a free Holiday Concession iCard, offering access to the six-week activity programme and holiday camps for free. Please refer to eligibility information on the Ipswich Fit website at the link below for full details.
Councillor Neil MacDonald, Ipswich Borough Council Leader, says:
“The summer holidays are a great opportunity for young people to come together and try new sports and activities offered by Ipswich Fit across their facilities as well as the town’s fantastic parks and open spaces and of course our public swimming facilities.”
This year many parents and carers will need to sign-up for iCards for their children, but at £1 a week for the many activities on offer every day, it offers great value for money in a safe environment with those needing extra help eligible for a free holiday concession iCard.”
All day Summer themed activity, dance and disability-friendly camps will also be available to book via the Ipswich Fit website. Find out more at: www.ipswichfit.co.uk/school-holiday-camps/
