New Art Exhibition by Hannah Aria opens on 22nd July in Framlingham

A new exhibition by Suffolk Artist Hannah Aria runs between July 22nd and July 28th at the Carousel Art Gallery in Framlingham. The exhibition will be open 10am-5pm on weekdays and Saturday and 11am-3pm on Sunday. Admission is free.

“Embellish” features a wide selection of Aria’s emotive Resin and Impasto works. All of the 30cm x 30cm signature style framed pieces will be priced at only £200 in accordance with the global Artist Support Pledge movement. This aims to help revive the creative economy in the wake of the pandemic. The concept is simple: Each time an artist secures £1,000 in sales they then pledge to purchase £200 of work from another artist using the hashtag #artistsupportpledge on Instagram.

The works on show at the exhibition include atmospheric abstracts inspired by the local landscape, personal works driven by emotive universal themes and poignant portraits depicting NHS key workers.

Speaking about the exhibition, Hannah states “I am so pleased that the exhibition could go ahead. There is nothing quite like seeing artwork close up and hopefully people are ready for some fresh pieces to brighten up their homes”.

Gallerist Joanne Penfold describes the safety measures in place for the exhibition stating “measures are in place with a protective screen, social distancing markers, hand sanitizers, a ‘do not touch exhibits’ notice and a two persons at a time policy” and further describes the new decoration of the gallery, “our redecoration happens yearly to create a fresh, clean line display space.”

Hannah Aria is primarily a visual artist who has experimented extensively with resin, impasto painting, 3D design and mixed media, utilising her life experiences to promote positive change in a variety of contexts.
