Local companies sought to tee-off for charity

Ormiston Families and the Jude Brady Foundation have joined together to host a Charity Golf Day on Monday 22 October at Woodbridge Golf Club.

The tournament, run in association with Clip ‘n’ Climb Ipswich and Suffolk Facilities Management, is open to 18 teams of 4 and promises to be a great day of relaxed networking and fun.

Breakfast will start at 8.30am followed by 18 holes on the heath course. There will also be a range of golfing competitions and the day will end with a two-course dinner, raffle and prize giving.

The cost is £75 per head or £300 for the team, which includes a donation of £20pp going directly to the two charities.

Ormiston Families are also looking for local businesses who would like to raise their own profile to sponsor the event.  Sponsorship packages are available from sponsoring an individual hole at £100 through to the longest drive or nearest the pin competitions at £200 each.

Gavin Lamb, Major Donor & Corporate Fundraising Manager for Ormiston Families, said: “We believe that this golf day will provide a great networking opportunity for local businesses as well as a cost-effective way for them to market their brand to new and existing audiences. Companies can align their brand with a charity that customers care about, whilst putting their brand in the spotlight as a corporate sponsor.”

Mark Patterson, Director of Clip ‘n’ Climb Ipswich, said: “We are delighted and proud to support the Ormiston Families and Jude Brady Foundation Charity Golf Day as the headline sponsor. Both are fantastic causes and I know the immeasurable and invaluable support charities like these can give to families in real need.  We hope to be able to support further in the near future by hosting various charitable events at our new Clip ‘n’ Climb family entertainment centre, which will be open on Ransomes Europark in Easter 2019.”

Karl Weir of Suffolk Facilities Management, fully accredited fire and flood restoration experts and specialists in the supply, installation and repair of central heating systems, has said of the event “As a keen supporter of local charities, I am proud to announce that Suffolk Facilities Management will be sponsoring the Ormiston Families and Jude Brady Foundation charity golf day on 22nd October at Woodbridge Golf Club. We have set up a Justgiving page to further fundraise for the charities”
