Get ready for The Tour of Britain

The final arrangements are being put in place for the arrival of the OVO Energy Tour of Britain next week. Stage Six of the Tour starts in Newmarket and finishes in Aldeburgh on Friday, 8 September, with live coverage of the whole race on ITV4.

The route through Suffolk Coastal district begins at Dennington and goes through Framlingham, Wickham Market, and Grundisburgh, past Kesgrave High School, through Woodbridge and Melton. It continues through Rendlesham, past Snape Maltings and finally finishes on Aldeburgh High Street, outside the Golden Galleon at around 3pm.

Join Wickham Market on the Market Hill for screened live coverage of the race, a pop up bar, refreshments, food and entertainments throughout the day. Further information can be found here

Leiston will also be showing coverage of the race, with a BBQ being supplied by Sizewell Sports & Social Club from 1pm.

At the finish line, as well as seeing some of the world’s best cyclists, there will be an opportunity for the Community to take part in a Cycle ride that will see the riders finishing on the finish line.
