13/02/2018 - BCMT Centre
To help businesses prepare for the enormous regulatory changes coming into effect in 2018, Avanti Networking is hosting two of its popular free business seminars in March, one in Ipswich and one in Bury St Edmunds.
Chaired by Daryl Griffiths of Burnett Barker Solicitors, delegates will hear from expert speakers as they tackle the most topical issues facing business owners today, namely:
- General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) – how businesses obtain, record and protect data – Adrian Day, Project Support
- Making Tax Digital (MTD) – a huge shake up in the tax industry – Victoria Sharp, The Avanti Group (UK) Ltd
- Corporate Social Responsibility (SCR) – and he many opportunities it presents – Suzanne MacDonald-Carr, The Business Training and Mentoring Centre
The event will open and close with open networking, providing an opportunity to make some great connections in a vibrant, supportive and professional environment.
Victoria Sharp explains “We hope to assist local business owners to navigate their way through these huge legislative changes, in plain English, breaking down the myths, and by providing insider insights into how these changes will directly affect them”
Adrian Day added, “GDPR becomes law on 25th May, amid a lot of recent scaremongering the majority of businesses are looking for a common sense approach and practical guidance to set their minds at rest.”
