2018 is a big year for Trinity Park

Trinity Park, the sprawling Suffolk events venue and home of the Suffolk Show, has gone from strength to strength since it opened more than a decade ago, and last year hosted over 420 events.

Trinity Park’s Sales and Account Manager, Leanne Smith (pictured below) takes time out from her full schedule to explain how Trinity Park’s competitive pricing, dedicated events co-ordination and customer care have really opened Trinity Park’s gates to events of all sizes.

“We make everyone welcome, big or small”

“I love the diversity of events Trinity Park attracts. One day the showground might host a huge event, such as the Copdock Bike Show, taking advantage of all the permanent structures including the road networks, toilet blocks and secure fencing. And the next day might bring a funeral reception arriving post-ceremony from Seven Hills Crematorium just up the road.”

Thanks to easy access via direct routes off the A12 and A14, and free, unlimited parking, it’s easy for people to find and has a wide variety of spaces inside and out – of all shapes and sizes – for people to use.

“People are often surprised to hear that we do a lot of smaller events from board meetings to corporate away days and of course business networking groups. We also host a lot of Weddings and music events. It’s a really rewarding and varied job and we’re looking forward to supporting even more events and businesses in 2018 and beyond.”

“Flexible pricing for any budget has been the key to our recent growth”

Last year Trinity Park delivered over 420 events, a 20% increase on the 350 events the year before.

“We took a step back and really focussed on our pricing. We knew that people weren’t even coming to us for a quote as they thought we’d be expensive, but we actually offer flexibility and real value for money. So, we’ve made our pricing even more straightforward and help organisers budget for their events by offering a price per person system. And we work closely with them to ensure we’re offering a level of service that meets their requirements for the event.

“People aren’t just hiring the venue, we also look after their equipment needs – much of which is included. We have great in-house catering and bar facilities, meaning the client only needs to deal with us and we’ll sort all the elements for their event. Our pricing is really clear, and we ensure there are no hidden costs or unexpected surprises.”

Boosting charity, education and tourism in Suffolk

“Charitable messages are always key in the events at Trinity Park,” says Leanne. “We’re the home of the Suffolk Agricultural Association, a registered agricultural and rural charity which is best known for its two-day Suffolk Show in the summer. It’s also been an honour to work on events such as the recent Inflatable Santa Run, Town 102’s local hero awards, Stars of Suffolk and the ever-growing Suffolk Skills Show, to name a few. Plus, through the Suffolk Agricultural Association, we offer a series of educational events for local schools.”

And Leanne and the team at Trinity Park are excited to welcome their first ever festival next summer, which will include camping as well as music over two days. “This is new to Trinity Park and we’re hoping it’ll be a real boost to local tourism and the community.”

What’s next for Trinity Park?

Our Christmas party nights are proving to be a real draw this year. With 3,500 people expected to come along over 12 nights to enter the ‘world of fire and ice.’

We introduced the dodgems three years ago at our Christmas Party nights and they’ve been a big hit. There’s also a floor show and party games throughout the evening to really make it an event to remember. We’re already taking bookings for next year’s Christmas Party nights! It’s great that all the hard work is appreciated. We love to see so many people returning year after year.”

Keep an eye on Trinity Park’s Facebook page for up coming events and attractions. We have already announced next year’s theme, which is ‘Cirque de la Saison’.

It looks like the trend of more events, more local tourism, and more fun is set to continue making 2018 a big year for Trinity Park.
