Willis Towers Watson is a Suffolk Young Chamber patron

Willis Towers Watson, the Ipswich-based leading global advisory, broking and solutions company, has agreed to become a patron of Suffolk Chamber’s innovative Young Chamber initiative.

Mark Parker, Managing Director of WTW in Ipswich, explained the reasoning behind the company’s support. “We have historically had very strong relationships with educational institutions especially in the greater Ipswich area and recruit dozens of the best school leavers each year. Our commitment to nurturing great future talent also extends to a programme of support within Willis Towers Watson called the Young Professionals Group.

“It was, therefore, a logical next step to become patrons of Suffolk Young Chamber in order to broaden our links to work with more schools and colleges across the county.”

Suffolk Young Chamber seeks to effectively bridge the worlds of education and work by offering a range of services to participating schools and colleges, including talks from local entreprenuers, interview technique workshops and CV writing support.

15 schools and colleges have signed up to the scheme to date.

Willis Towers Watson’s decision to become a patron makes them the third organisation to back Suffolk Young Chamber in this way after EDF Energy New Nuclear Build and Suffolk New College.

“Young Chamber patrons are able to participate in a number of additional products from the Chamber’s suite of services including sector specific events, business/education leaders’ dinners and delivering specific employability events into Suffolk schools.”
