Sanctuary Personnel supporting community in new Corporate Social Responsibility drive

Ipswich-based Sanctuary Personnel has announced plans to introduce a new community-focus to their business thanks to a new scheme which will share details of local projects with their 250+ employees.

Local charities, community groups, fundraising appeals and volunteering drives are being encouraged to get in touch with Sanctuary Personnel, one of Ipswich’s largest employers, to let them know of any forthcoming opportunities. The company will share details of each initiative with their staff, plus, time will be allocated for employees to participate in selected schemes during working hours.

Speaking of the new community focus, James Rook, CEO of Sanctuary Personnel said; “Last year, we were named the Business of the Year and this was a title that we do not take lightly. We do not want to rest on our laurels and we understand that as one of the town’s largest employers, we have a direct responsibility to support our community.

“We believe that our community support isn’t just about writing a cheque for a dress down day, it’s also about physically getting stuck in and taking active steps to improve the area. Many of our employees live in the town, so it’s important to us that they can choose to get involved in projects which mean a lot to them personally.”

He continued: “Whether it is a school needing some volunteers to listen to the children read, or a community group needing a fence painted, we’re keen to hear of anything and everything! So, if you’re looking for volunteers for a few hours a month, please get in touch and we will do our best to help.”

Charities and community groups looking to share details of any voluntary opportunities or initiatives are being advised to email details to Kellie Thorndyke. Emails should include details of what the project is, why it will help the local community and if there are any particular requirements.
