NSPCC celebrates 125th anniversary and wants you to join the party!
7/03/2019 - NSPCC
This year the Suffolk branch of the NSPCC is celebrating its 125th anniversary, and they are hoping that 125 local companies, groups or individuals will join the party and each raise just £125 for the NSPCC Schools Service, “Speak out Stay Safe”.
The small sum could pay for specially-trained NSPCC volunteers to teach a classroom of primary school children about abuse and neglect through age-appropriate assemblies and workshops.
“Speak out Stay Safe” taught 22,546 children in Suffolk how to recognise and report child abuse in the 2017/18 academic year. And the NSPCC want to keep up that momentum so that no child is missed; but they can only do that with help from their supporters.
Supporters can fundraise in a multitude of ways; organise a coffee morning, hold a quiz or arrange a bake sale. All money raised will be invested in NSPCC Suffolk Schools Service, a programme that NSPCC knows has a positive impact on the local community.
The NSPCC would love to hear from you if you feel you can help in any way and look forward to making a difference in our local area during this special anniversary year.
