Join Papworth Trust BRIT Challenge Team
28/10/2022 - Papworth Trust
In July 2022, we had the pleasure of hosting an inspirational audience with Phil Packer MBE. During the talk he spoke about the fantastic work of The British Inspiration Trust (BRIT) to support and improve young adult and student mental health and fitness throughout the UK by delivering their annual inclusive BRIT Challenge.
As a collaborative charity, BRIT continues to form special relationships with a wealth of charities. In addition to inviting every UK university, college and specialist colleges to enter teams in the BRIT Challenge, Phil has invited the Papworth Trust to take part. He hopes that our involvement will provide an opportunity for every disabled person we work with, and our staff, supporters and friends, to participate as a feelgood fundraiser, for Papworth Trust, between the 23rd January and 23rd March 2023.
The theme is “23″ and there is flexibility for teams to set their own challenges and targets. This could be;
- Individuals hand-cycling, cycling, wheelchair pushing, swimming, walking, jogging, running, rowing or paddling (canoeing, kayaking or paddle-boarding) 23 miles in 23 hours or over 23 days.
- Teams completing 2023 miles by individuals adding their distance to the overall target.
- 23 minutes of physical activity (including meditation, dance, movement, drawing and knitting) for 23 days.
Phil is also encouraging teams to complete 23 acts of kindness in the community over 23 days (for example students studying skills such as construction and hairdressing where they can gift projects or treatments to the community).
You can join our Papworth Trust BRIT Challenge as part of our team, or on your own or by bringing together your own team and setting your own 23 themed target.
Our BRIT Challenge is a great chance to get active after the Christmas period, whilst raising money for Papworth Trust.
Why not give it a go? If you would like to take part contact jo.revitt@papworthtrust.org.uk with information on how you’d like to be involved.
