Help support Bruce with his mammoth mission to raise £31,000

Bruce Shand, a local self-confessed fitness fanatic is undertaking an incredible task to raise £31-000 for Ipswich Hospital’s Children’s Ward Appeal.

Based at Wattisham Airfield for the majority of his 22+ years in the Army, Bruce has decided he would like to give something back to Suffolk.

After finding out about The Children’s Appeal charity and their aim to raise £2.5million to rebuild the children’s ward at Ipswich Hospital Bruce knew that he wanted to get involved.

Originally born in Scotland but having spent most of his life in Suffolk where he has raised his children Bruce felt that The Children’s Appeal was a worthy cause as the hospital has always been there for his family when needed.

Bruce will be raising money by carrying out a monumental task of 15,000 Burpee’s, a 26 mile Ski-Erg, and a 52 mile bike ride all in March!

To undertake this mammoth mission Bruce has had to get himself into a very strict routine with 6am starts to fit in 100 burpees’ before waiting 15 minutes to do another 100. Not missing anytime to fit more in he then does another 100 Burpee’s during his lunch break at work! He visits the gym daily to accumulate his miles in both Skiing and cycling and then to finish the day off another 180 Burpees!

Bruce remains positive that he can reach his goal of £31,000 but needs all the support he can get.
