Get ready Framlingham, Santa is coming to town!!

The Woodbridge and Framlingham Round Table is bringing Santa back to town.

But this year they promise an even bigger, even better sleigh!

Santa’s helpers have been working hard to make sure that the magical sleigh is ready in time for the big red fella to come and carry out his last checks to see who has been naughty and who has been nice this year.

The Woodbridge and Framlingham Round Table raised an astonishing £1500 for local charity The Hour Community.

Framlingham based charity, The Hour Community, which was founded in 2011, becoming a registered charity in 2016 was created with the incentive to support the residents of Framlingham and surrounding villages. Encouraging residents to donate their time to helping the more vulnerable of their community.

The Woodbridge and Framlingham Round Table movement is all about making friends, having fun, trying things you’ve not done before, and putting something back into your local community.

Having raised over an incredible £30,000 in the last 12 months, Andy Barton one of the Round Table members says:

“Being part of The Round Table is such an honour. We get together and have a great laugh all whilst giving something back to the community. We are very lucky where we live as people are generous with both their time and their money, meaning that we can help charities reach the most vulnerable in the community.

“Santa was very well received last year, and it was amazing to see so many people come out and say hello. Last year was very different as we had to adhere to all the covid restriction, but we put a smile on lots of boys and girls faces. Seeing them get excited when they saw Santa made all the hard work and planning, we did worthwhile.

“I’m hopeful that this year we can gain even more support and reach more people. So please if you can, come out say hello and any amount you can afford to put in the elves buckets will be gratefully received.”

“Being an active part of the community is very important to my family and I. In fact it turns into a bit of a family affair as my wife and children like to get involved to. My wife took over the local sweet shop Simpsons Sweets and Milkshakes in Framlingham at the beginning of the year and it has really become the hub of the community so its lovely for her to give something back and thank every one for their custom and Support.”

Santa will be visiting Framlingham Monday 20th and Tuesday 21st. Santa will then visit Leiston on the 22nd December. Start at 5.30pm

Exact routes will be published this weekend on The Round Tables Facebook page. You will also be able to track Santa using the live Santa tracker.
