Five free family fun days to enjoy this summer

The first of five free family fun days this summer kicks off on 28 July at Alexandra Park in Ipswich, thanks to Area Committee funding.

Running from 12pm to 4pm, there’s something for everyone to enjoy at our wonderful parks and community spaces around the town. Many free activities will be on offer including farm animal petting, a climbing wall, interactive raptor dinosaurs, the Ipswich Fit sport and fitness team plus amazing bubble displays!

There’ll also be stalls offering face-painting, coloured sand craft, funfair rides and of course no fun day is complete without being able to buy an ice-cream to enjoy!

Ipswich Family Fun days will take place as follows:

  • 28 July: Alexandra Park
  • 2 August: Ransomes Sports Pavillion
  • 4 August: Murray Road Park
  • 9 August: Bourne Park
  • 11 August: Castle Hill Park

Councillor Sophie Connelly, Ipswich Borough Council Portfolio Holder for Culture and Customers, says:

“We’re excited to be running a series of free family events across some of our most wonderful parks this summer, funded by Ipswich Borough Council’s Area Committees.

With plenty going on for families and groups of all ages, these free fun days offer a packed afternoon of entertainment to keep kids busy and parents happy during the summer holidays.”
