New care provider for over 55s at Suffolk retirement living

Radis Community Care has become the new care provider at Sanctuary’s Exning Court retirement living in Suffolk.

Bringing more than 20 years of health and social care experience, the Radis team will provide care and support, 24 hours a day to Exning residents who need care at home.

Residents at the extra care scheme receive support from a housing officer, access to landscaped gardens and 24-hour care if needed, plus guest accommodation for visitors.

Karen Farrant is the regional manager for Radis at Exning Court. She said: “We’re really pleased to be working alongside Sanctuary for our local community in and around Newmarket.

“Retirement communities like this are a wonderful way for people to maintain their independence as they get older, with 24-hour care or care that adapts to their needs as and when their circumstances change.”

The new providers started delivering care in July, supporting residents who would either like or need support; the level of care provided can be tailored at any time to ensure that residents – who all own their own properties – have the right level of care at any one time.

Exning Court has 34 one and two-bed apartments, a care line alarm system and the whole site is wheelchair friendly.

The property has a variety of facilities on-site including a restaurant which is open to the public, an activities room, pool table and a hairdressing salon.
