SUFFOLK PUBLISHING BUSINESS CELEBRATES AWARD

Suffolk publishing business, Softwood Self-Publishing has just been awarded the title of ‘Self-Publishing Specialists in London and the South-East’ by the Prestige Awards.

Led by author and business entrepreneur, Maddy Glenn, Softwood prides itself in supporting authors who wish to remain independent from publishing houses by retaining financial and creative control over their books. With a global portfolio of clients, Softwood not only offers bespoke editing and design services, but also makes the art of marketing books much simpler. Since their move to Suffolk a few years ago, Maddy and her team have enjoyed supporting more local authors and are already involved with the local PrimaDonna Festival and the National Centre for Writing in Norwich. In their verdict, the Prestige Award judges commented on Softwood’s exceptional standards of customer service and the “inspirational” ethic that allows authors to retain all rights to their books.

Regarding Softwood’s success, Maddy said “Though we work with authors in every continent, we love being based here in Suffolk and are looking forward to expanding our office with a forthcoming move to Stowmarket where we’ve been so impressed by the networking opportunities with the local Chamber of Commerce and the Business Growth Network in particular. This most recent award is a wonderful accolade and further motivates us to support independent authors everywhere!”
