Suffolk Chamber of Commerce is supporting the Eastern region’s export push by freezing the prices it charges exporters to make sure their products have all the correct paperwork.
Suffolk Chamber ’s highly experienced and successful export documentation operation will continue to deliver this vital service at £24.50 per Certificate of Origin for its members and £49.00 for non-members. Blank Certificates of Origin remain £1 each.
The Chamber’s export documentation team have seen continuous year-on-year growth and in 2017 processed nearly 7000 export documents, accounting for over £450m worth of goods.
As a result, Suffolk Chamber has recruited Fiona Aldred as Export Documentation Officer to work alongside Rosemary Bates, Export Documentation Manager and Wendy Chaplin, Export Certification Officer. With a long and varied career in the shipping industry, most recently at the Port of Felixstowe, Fiona is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers and a Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser.
Under its Suffolk Chamber International brand, the Chamber also provides training courses, events and advice to help companies increase their export and import successes.
Amanda Ankin, Operations Director at Suffolk Chamber, explains: “We are fully committed to supporting a free trade Britain by offering both great value for money in helping exporters, but also more generally in supporting the international trade efforts of our members and the wider business community.
“We’re delighted to have someone of Fiona’s expertise on board to help us provide an even greater level of service.”
