National Recognition for Essex-based Wedding Photographer

Essex-based photographer, David Michael Bradford, continues to receive recognition for his wedding photography. In February, he scooped the accolade of Wedding Photographer of the Year 2019 at the British Wedding Awards, sharing the podium with industry leaders including Blenheim Palace, Jenny Packham, & Kuoni.

In November 2018, David held his debut private view exhibition of fine-art Scribbled portraits at the newly refurbished Kimpton Fitzroy London Hotel on Russell Square. For his first exhibition, David chose prominent people within the wedding industry, ranging from shoe and couture dress designers to a blogger and a musician, for his subjects, and they were delighted with the distinctive images.

In January 2019 he exhibited many of his Scribbled portraits at the inaugural Bridelux Atelier Show in New York. Bridelux is the industry leader for luxury high-end wedding shows, and David exhibited alongside icons such as Vivienne Westwood, Philippa Craddock, and Bryan Rafanelli.

David says: “The past few months have been fantastic. Winning British Wedding Photographer of the Year is such an honour, as is expanding my creativity through my Scribbled portraits and receiving such a good reception when sharing them with my industry contemporaries, whom I hold in such high esteem.

“My trademarked Scribbled portraits are the result of many hours spent messing around with technology and images. The process used to create them is quite complicated and difficult to explain, but they are printed on metal and need to be seen to be fully appreciated, especially in as far as the effect light has on them.

“I think a Scribbled portrait is a great way to display an image in an exclusive format that is more contemporary than a printed photograph or painting.”
