International growth for Amazon consultancy after lockdown business boom

A specialist business consultancy based in East Bergholt has taken on new staff after a business boom in lockdown.

Amazon consultancy Sell Beyond has employed two new members of staff and expanded its US operations due to a rapid growth in businesses needing help selling on the internet selling platform Amazon.

Heloise Finch, founder and CEO, said lockdown saw huge demand for online sales and businesses trying to capitalise on the Amazon marketplace.

Heloise said: “We are transitioning, offering, full management consultancy on Amazon for businesses, not just marketing. The Amazon experience is exceptional as a buyer but selling successfully on Amazon is incredibly hard. It’s a unique and highly complex platform and there is no training available to businesses on how to do it.

“Lockdown has seen a boom in online commerce, and Amazon web traffic increased by 40% in 2020 alone. Businesses can see there is an opportunity to tap into but find it can be a complex and potentially expensive process, so we are here to help.”

The growth in businesses looking to sell on Amazon Marketplace, and in turn looking for help, has seen significant growth for Sell Beyond, not just in the UK but also in the United States.

The company has appointed Ainsley Rhodes as project manager at its East Bergholt base while across the pond, John Nicoli, who graduated from the same university as Heloise – the University of Michigan, will be based in Phoenix, Arizona as an Amazon consultant.

Heloise added: “It is the first time we have hired someone in America. I’m very excited that we are seeing so much demand for our services in the US.

“Amazon USA is the most mature and the biggest market but the most competitive so it’s hard for businesses. As well as having a US base, we are looking forward to creating opportunities for our UK-based clients in the lucrative Amazon US market.”
