Over 200 guests had a “high old time” on Thursday 20 July as they attended Suffolk Chamber of Commerce’s largest business networking event of the year on the rooftop of the Willis Tower Watson building in central Ipswich.
With the weather behaving perfectly, the guests were treated to excellent views of Ipswich as far as the Orwell Bridge. For those with no head for heights there were a range of games to compete in, including archery and a rowing challenge, which were sponsored by Abbeycroft Leisure.
Inside, there was plenty of opportunity to socialise and network and to listen to short speeches from Graham Abbey, president of Suffolk Chamber, Richard Brame director of accounting and settlement at Willis Tower Watson and Ian Fitch, a partner at Larking Gowen, the company which sponsored the drinks.
According to Rebecca Pascoe, events manager at Suffolk Chamber “our event at Willis Tower Watson, now in its ninth year, is literally and metaphorically the high point of Suffolk Chamber’s networking programme.
“It was great to see so many companies, from across the county’s diverse business base, having a high old time by both joining in the games and by networking.”
