Health & Care Careers Officer

As a Health and Care Careers Officer, you’ll play a vital role in providing project support to the Next Generation Project Health and Care Manager. Your responsibilities will include coordinating Health and Social Care Ambassadors, organising medical applicant days, and facilitating various career activities such as school workshops, careers fairs, online Let’s Talk sessions, and support with Health and Care academies. Your role will revolve around communicating with the younger generation, advising, and providing guidance on routes into the Health and Social Care fields. Your extensive knowledge of pathways into health and social care roles will shine through as you assist in building career pathways and boosting recruitment in Health and Social Care across Suffolk and Northeast Essex.

Apprenticeship and Careers Project Officer

If you are passionate about supporting projects that raise the profile of adult social care and promote it as a fulfilling career choice, the role of Apprenticeship and Careers Project Officer is tailor-made for you. In this position, you will be instrumental in coordinating apprenticeships, work experiences, and guidance for those exploring careers in adult social care. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of projects, including Care Careers Suffolk, Skills for Care’s Workforce Development Fund, and the new Complete Care Training Hub. From organizing taster days to providing one-on-one advice, you will be a key player in raising awareness about this rewarding field.

Both positions at Care Development East adopt a hybrid working approach, with the office based in Needham Market. There will be a requirement to travel across the county to support events and initiatives.
