Martlesham BT Tower flies the flag of Suffolk family support charity

Suffolk based family support Charity Home-Start in Suffolk, had a huge surprise last night seeing their logo in lights on the iconic Adastral Park BT Tower!  BT and Quatreus have been working together to create a special Halloween message in lights on the tower in support of the charity.

BT nationally voted to support Home-Start as their charity of the year in recent months and whilst the final details of the partnership are developed, the team over at Adastral Park, who have supported Home-Start in Suffolk locally for a number of years in a variety of ways, with fundraising activities and being involved in their annual Christmas campaigns, decided to surprise the team and set about putting the charities name in lights creating a fabulous display for everyone to see on the site!

“It was a marvellous surprise!” explains Ali Watson, Fundraising and Marketing Manager at Home-Home-Start in Suffolk.  “We knew the team we work with at BT locally had some exciting plans based on recent conversations, but it was incredible to see the end result!  What a fantastic way to spread the word about Home-Start in Suffolk!”

Lisa Perkins, Director of Research and Development at BT in Martlesham said “We’re proud of our partnership with Home-Start, working together to tackle the digital divide, and supporting local communities where our colleagues live and work.

“We were delighted to be able to raise the visibility of Home-Start in Suffolk, but at the same time spread a bit of fun for the community. We had lots of excited feedback from local families who saw the display. I’d like to thank Quatreus for helping to bring this all together. We hope that it might also have helped people in the community think about volunteering for this fantastic charity.”

The one-off display caused quite a stir on social media and the Home-Start in Suffolk team are thrilled to see the local community’s excitement about the display.

Home-Start in Suffolk support around 600 families each year as they navigate through challenging circumstances including, mental health, poverty, isolation, disability, domestic abuse, illness and so much more. They have recently launched their Christmas Campaign inviting businesses, individuals, schools and the community to support families this year by donating to their vouchers appeal.

And with referrals on a steep rise, recruiting volunteers has never been more important.
