Hemisphere Freight Services Acquires Barton Freight Services

Hemisphere Freight Services, one of the UK’s largest independent logistics providers, has acquired Barton Freight Services. The move expands the Ipswich-based company’s range of services and brings new faces with a wealth of expertise into the business. 

Hemisphere has had a close relationship with the team at Barton Freight Services for many years, collaborating on many occasions. Barton shares Hemisphere’s high standards of service and customer care, making this move a natural progression for all parties involved. 

The acquisition sees Hemisphere welcome Clare Moss, former Director and Head of Operations at Barton, to the team as a Key Accounts Manager, working from the existing Barton base in Surrey as well as interacting with Hemisphere’s other facilities as required. Having worked as part of a smaller team at Barton, bringing Clare into the Hemisphere fold provides Clare and her clients with a wider support network.
