Charity receives significant funding to promote Covid awareness

Regional charity Student Life has been awarded a contract by Public Health Suffolk to raise awareness and prevent the spread to the Covid19 pandemic amongst Suffolk’s young people.

Student Life already reaches thousands of the county’s young people via its print and digital publications and through film production work and this extension to the charity’s existing projects is further recognition of the impact of its Suffolk-wide reach.

“The whole team is very proud to have been selected and funded by Public Health Suffolk to expand our existing project work through the COMF initiative. The Contain Outbreak Management Fund provides funding to local authorities in England to help reduce the spread of coronavirus and support local public health” explained Student Life’s CEO Richard Stewart.

“Student Life will now feature peer-to-peer content in print and online around Covid awareness amongst young people and produce a documentary film for countywide distribution, using our in-house film production company ‘Unity Films’. We will also be expanding our Mental Health Ambassador programme to include Covid Ambassadors and this work will continue to expand into alternative provision settings” continued Richard.
