Director of SimpleClick to give seminar at UK’s biggest Glamping Show

Claire Thorpe, Director of Ipswich-based software development agency SimpleClick, will be speaking virtually at The Glamping Show on 17 September 2020. Claire’s seminar ‘Get Bookings Direct: A Guide to Google UX’ will provide glamping businesses with tactics and strategies to drive traffic to their websites and maximise direct bookings.

The Glamping Show is the UK’s leading glamping event and attracts delegates from around the world. This year, the show will operate as a physical event at NAEC Stoneleigh, Warwickshire from 17-19 September 2020 and also as a virtual event online, with content available 17-30 September 2020. Virtual attendance is £20; attendance in person is free and provides access to all pre-recorded seminars.

Claire said: “I was delighted to be invited to share my expertise with the UK’s growing glamping industry. A website’s user experience, or ‘UX’, is ranked on how easy it is for people to navigate, read and interact with. Simply put, the more user-friendly a website is, the higher Google will rank it. My role at SimpleClick involves assessing the online needs of businesses and translating this into useful practices, such as improving website UX by increasing page loading speeds or reviewing written content. With Google’s new UX algorithm set to be rolled out next year, at SimpleClick we are working hard to prepare our clients’ sites to capitalise on the update.

“Rather than listing their businesses through booking sites such as Airbnb, which charge a large commission, glamping businesses should look to achieve more sales directly through their own websites. Glamping bookings take place almost entirely online due to the remote nature of their locations. Therefore, effective digital marketing and use of online tools is key in improving website traffic and securing more direct bookings, thus increasing revenue. This is what I’ll be focusing on in my seminar for The Glamping Show.”
