The Somerville Foundation is the only UK charity dedicated to supporting adults born with a heart condition. They provide a vital helpline to heart patients across the UK and a reliable, consistent and adaptable communications system is key for them to operate effectively.
When the foundation made the decision to leave their existing phone provider and move to Suffolk based Chicane Connect a trouble-free and efficient transition was imperative. This infrastructure relocation was made even more taxing for the team because the lockdown measures to contain covid-19 were put in place during the move.
“Knowing how important our service is to vulnerable adults, Robert Kemp, the Managing Director of Chicane Connect, personally oversaw the porting of numbers across from our previous provider to our new phone system with Chicane Connect” a spokesperson said, .
“Chicane Connect really stepped up to help us and were able to seamlessly provide a constant service to our clients. With remote working in place, we literally took the new phones from the office to our homes. We experienced a 1000% increase in calls during the first two weeks of lockdown, and we were able to easily re-allocate the taking of calls to our network of congenital heart specialists across the country”.
As a charity, the foundation have a duty to ensure any financial decisions are based on best value for money. After analysing their previous expenditure on line rental and calls, Chicane Connect clearly demonstrated that by using their services significant savings could be made.
“The ongoing support is fantastic! We can always rely on a member of the team to answer the phone to provide expert advice and guidance”.
“It has been an absolute pleasure to work with Chicane Connect. They are great company with strong ethics, and we look forward to our continuing partnership”.
