John Catt Publishing moves in to new premises at Riduna Park

John Catt Publishing, which was founded 59 years ago in East Anglia, has this month moved into new premises at the Riduna Park business development in Melton.

The company specialises in educational publishing, and is responsible for numerous annual school guides for parents, termly magazines for teaching leaders, and many award-winning professional development titles.

With 14 full-time staff and a growing team of freelance editors and authors, John Catt’s management board decided the time was right to find a new purpose-built premises as part of its ambitious plans.

Having previously been based just outside Woodbridge town centre, the company’s directors chose Riduna Park because it provided an opportunity to work alongside the developers to create a unique space for their specific requirements.

Alex Sharratt, MD, said: “We’ve had an incredible 12 months of staff growth, new innovations, more contracts, and some successful product developments.

“To cap that off, and as part of our vision for achieving some great things in the years ahead, we felt it was the perfect time to seek out a new head office.

“Riduna gave us the chance to shape things the way we needed them, providing space for separate offices and meeting rooms, as well as an area for our digital presses.

“We’re all so excited about beginning our next chapter at the park and are looking forward to achieving more great things in the educational publishing arena.”

Katie Emerson, Project Manager for Riduna Holdings, said John Catt’s arrival is a great moment for the Park.

“We’re so pleased to see the team from John Catt move in and begin this latest stage in their business journey,” she said.

“From the outset, we were keen to ensure that they felt able to work closely with our development team, and to have their building created in an entirely bespoke fashion.

“While the units come with certain features, we’re open to working with all types of company and business venture, to ensure they get exactly what they want from Riduna Park.”

Phase Two of Riduna Park, which consists of nine offices varying in size from 1,250 sq ft to 7,500 sq ft two-storey options, is now ready for occupation.

The new stage of the business park has been completed with wooden flooring, intuitive heating and air conditioning, shower rooms, and also includes plenty of car parking for staff and visitors.
