Customers of East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) in Halesworth could find themselves doing a bungee jump later this year.
The shop, at the Old Creamery in Angel Link, will celebrate its second birthday on Saturday (2 February) and, as part of celebrations, those who buy an item and enter an in-store competition will go into a free prize draw, with the chance to do a bungee jump up for grabs.
EACH in Halesworth was opened by internationally-renowned artist Lucy Loveheart in March 2017. There was great fanfare around the first day, with 20 items of clothing donated by EACH Ambassador Ed Sheeran on sale, helping the outlet take £1,200 in its first hour of trading.
Lee Carter, EACH Shop Manager, took over the reins in July: “I found transitioning as Deputy Manager of EACH Lowestoft to Shop Manager at Halesworth extremely easy due to the wonderful volunteers here. Without them, the shop wouldn’t be anywhere near as successful as it is. We’re currently smashing our target for income growth, with an increase of 15.2% from this time last year, and that’s been helped by an increase in donations of 41.8%. I look forward to continuing the growth of our volunteer base and raising the profile of the shop alongside them.”
EACH in Halesworth is open from Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm. Those who visit the shop this Saturday will also be greeted with champagne and nibbles. For more information, visit www.each.org.uk.
