A carer from leading live-in care providers, Christies Care, has recently won the prestigious Home Care Award at the East of England Great British Care Awards 2019. The win allows Christies Care to go through to the next stage which is the National Final at Birmingham’s ICC on the 20th March, 2020.
The carer, Caroline Dube, expressed her happiness at winning this award, and her gratitude to everyone from her clients to fellow carers and office staff.“A big thank you to everyone at Christies – this award is for all of us. Working alongside fantastic carers, support from the Christies Team, enhanced training, client’s feedback – just to mention a few positives that contributed to this achievement. I am so grateful!”
Rounding out a great evening, Christies Carer, James McGowan was a runner-up for the same award, and the Christies Care Bookings Team were runners-up up for the Home Care Team award.
The Great British Care Awards celebrates excellence across the care sector. The purpose of the awards is to promote best practice, within both home care and care homes sectors, and pay tribute to those individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work.
Support for the events includes Care England, The Department of Health, The National Care Forum, The Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE) and the Alzheimer’s Society, as well as local authorities and other commercial organisations.
