Charity challenge Rock2Recovery

Two gentlemen from Haverhill in Suffolk (Leigh Walker & Paul Connolly) will be undertaking a mammoth walk to raise vital funds for the Charity Rock2Recovery whose mission is to save and change the lives of those in our Armed Forces, our veteran community and their families who are affected by stress. They are also supporting various children’s cancer charities including but not limited to Jessica’s Sarcoma Awareness.

These charities are close to their hearts and the hearts of those supporting them – and were chosen to highlight the real need for mental health support for those that are serving and have served – in addition they wanted to select charities where they could really make a difference and show their appreciation for the hard work these charities and all those involved do and support, they offer.

These gents will be walking from Haverhill Rugby Club to Wallsend Rugby club which is on the outskirts of Newcastle a whopping 252 miles in 5/6 days (walking approximately 50 miles a day) and wild camping all the way.

They leave on Sunday the 31st of October 2021 and are set to reach Gateshead nr Newcastle on either Friday the 5th or Saturday the 6th of November.
